He's going to divide up Ukraine with Russia and "call dibs" on Ukrainian natural resources (rare earth minerals) the way he did on Gaza land in dividing up Palestine with Israel. The US is now the global war machine, and expects all the "profits" and "spoils" of war.

The president has been a vehement critic of U.S. military aid to Ukraine, prompting concerns from Kyiv that assistance would stop flowing with him back in office. He told Fox News that aid could depend on Ukraine agreeing a trade deal that gives the U.S. access to its rare earth minerals.

"We are going to have all this money in there, and I say I want it back. And I told them that I want the equivalent, like $500 billion worth of rare earth," he said. "They have essentially agreed to do that, so at least we don't feel stupid."

The U.S. has provided more than $65 billion in military assistance to Ukraine since Russia launched its invasion in February 2022, according to the State Department.

Biden provided $65 billion to Ukraine for their defense, and now Trump wants to "cash in" on Biden's aid (which he staunchly opposed) by taking $500 billion worth of Ukraine's rare earth minerals for himself while he sits in meetings with Putin.

I weep so badly for the Ukrainian people.

(These are the critical minerals required by Trump's techbro administration for electric power, btw.)

Fortunately, trump is so completely under putin's control that he won't even be able to pretend to be helping Ukraine. There will be no incentive for Ukraine to sell minerals to its enemy's supporter. Hopefully, Europe will continue to stand by Ukraine. Crimea is #Ukraine.
