Take me to that horizon...

A picture taken on the beach in Sahlenburg (Cuxhaven, Germany, coordinates 53°51′46″N 8°37′56″E) looking to West-Southwest over the river mouth of the Weser.

Zoom on max one late afternoon in February, so the colors were changed weird. The picture is mainly divided in three horizontal stripes. The upper is what should be the sky and the horizon. It is nearly violet. On the horizon are visible those big offshore wind generators, nearly shadow grey. The grey silhouette of a shrimp boat is also seen on the right edge between the wind mills.

The middle stripe of the picture is the sea in a very light blue, the sea is calm.

The lower stripe is the intertidal mudflat, the color is a light pink.

The windmills on the hoirizon are not really there, it was a "Fata Morgana" effect, so the windmills are partly reflected from underneath. And so is the shrimp boat that seems floating above the sea.

The whole picture is in pastel colors, a kind of surrealistic effect.
