Joke aside, a bug-out bag is always handy, whether or not a threat of invasion is real. Worst case you'll get some handy skills, spend some time outside and have fun.
@yourfutureex agreed. That's what I told a friend this morning. Worst case scenario you have 8 extra cans of tuna, some iodine pills, and an extra pair of your special orthopedic shoes. How much might those be worth in a crisis? (Yes, I'm a prepper. I can't help it. It's how I think.)
It needs to be said that the average American already has at least some of this stocked in-house. Almost no Europeans do. There's a big lifestyle difference that works to our disadvantage here.
