@bearmine I tried to use Affinity photo as a Photoshop replacement, and used Luminar Neo quite a bit as well, but my professional photography experience and training taught me how to use Photoshop and Lightroom and I haven’t taken the time to properly learn the other software well enough to do the same thing that I can do so quickly and efficiently with Photoshop and Lightroom.
@bearmine darktable, and gimp are some other photography software that I have dabbled with as well, but there really is a huge learning curve in order to figure out how to do the same thing as I would do with Adobe software that I am more familiar with. I pay for my Adobe subscription as a business expense for my photography side hustle work that I do.
@saja0486 I’ve been using affinity photo for a few things and really like it. Everything I care about from photoshop seems to exist in it, though I don’t have the deep professional level experience in adobe products, just light hobby use.
What I can’t figure out is a good workflow for importing photos into a folder structure and sorting through them for good picks to edit. I’m starting to realize most of the value from Lightroom is the file management, not the editing side.
