Some pictures of the trail to the glacier near Krossbu, somewhere between Sognefjellet and Jotunheimen in Norway.
It was one of these short hikes where you loose track of time and get lost in all that beauty. Roaming around, loosing the path, just enjoying all that prettyness. Never knew so many shades of green and/or yellow existed! I guess this plateau is covered in snow and ice most of the year, so you can't really blame the mosses, grasses and algae for stepping it up and really putting up a show for that little time they have.
I was particularly mesmerised by the swirl of algea in the rippling streams. It almost like you're looking at a long exposure image. Strange, but beautiful.
Once you get closer to the glacier, the colourfest stops and the landscape shifts to a grey. Pretty in its own way, and alive in its own way, with its weathered and tattered rocks. The glacier itself looked fragile to me, but still quite big. So big, that it didn't fit in a picture, so alas. I did manage to touch it with my finger, which is kind of a magical I think. Touching something thát old..
What a day it was :)
