@eclecticpassions I hate that lock-in. But depending on one’s specific requirements, the current change in particular might not be as bad as it looks. I for example, have the 20 GB photography plan with annual payment, but I only ever use Lr, and never Ps. So for the same price, I can now have Lr only but with 1 TB.

@ujay68 Yeah, I'm not really keen on the lock-in either which is why I've always just paid monthly. I too, rarely use PS, just LR Classic. I am mainly considering jumping ship not really because of the price but for Adobe's practices.

@eclecticpassions Are you considering some specific software? I haven’t yet found a ship to jump to, so to say, that’s as complete as Lr in terms not only of editing, but also raw processing, library management, keywords, online albums, sync to mobile, maps and geotagging, etc. which I all use on a regular basis. If one is looking for just editing, I can very much recommend the excellent Affinity Photo, which is a fairly priced one-time payment.

@eclecticpassions PS. I use Affinity Photo occasionally for its excellent stacking, and DxO PureRAW for the occasional development of very underexposed or low-light RAWs.
