This seems to me to be the most essential message, and #PAgov Josh Shapiro alone delivered it:
"Generations ago, we fought agnst a King & put ourselves on a path to self-determination."
Thank you, Gov. Shapiro, for that reminder of #SelfDetermination.
Too often we forget what #Freedom & #CivilRights are designed for: that right which is the goal of all others - the right to SELF-DETERMINATION.
That is the fundamental human and civil right above all others.
What is freedom?
Here is what #Freedom means:
The right to self-determination.
Period.
It's what everyone has been talking about, but only Josh Shapiro put his finger on it & named it.

The San Francisco Wave Organ, morning of maybe 1986. What happened was, an as yet unknown photographer asked me if he could take a pic, then sent me one in the mail afterwards.
So it's about 40 years later, and I'm still grateful.
