@RegGuy It's individual. I've found it works well with many Autistics, but not everyone. And one misconception with tapping is that it's supposed to reduce how much you feel, and sometimes that happens, but it's really supposed to help you feel whatever feelings you're having rather than repressing them, while tapping on points that regulate the nervous system, so it doesn't engage the fight/flight response as much. For some people, feeling anything may be associated with anxiety, so that might be why you experienced what you did.
@hmm_cook All I wanted to do was run out of the room. I even still have a strong visceral response to the term. One of the worst experiences in my life. I'm glad it works for people. As I said, my wife loved it.
