A Colour Seascape / Watersport Photo In Landscape Format. The Lower 90% Of The Image Is Taken Up With A Medium Sized (3 Metre) Wave. The Wave's Colour Is More Green Than Blue, It Is Just Starting To Break With A Thin Line Of White Surf Visible On The Wave's Crest As It Begins To Curl. Above The Wave, A Reasonably Calm Sea Can Be Seen But This Time Coloured Blue. In The Upper Right Corner There Is A Large Disturbance In The Breaking Wave With A Mass Of White Surf. Ahead Of This Surf Is A White Surfboard Coming Towards The Camera. On The Board Is A Male Surfer, Dressed In A Black Wetsuit And Angled Horizontal To The Surface As He Falls Into The Breaking Wave. His Body, Arms And Legs Are Nearly Straight. The Soles Of His Feet Clearly Visible As His Toes Appear To Be Still Touching The Board. Below The Surfer And Board Is A Reflection In The Calm Water Ahead Of The Breaking Wave. The Wave And Surfer Are Lit By The Still Low Morning Sun.
The Location Is Hermosa Beach In Southern California (2016).
