In NYC hush money case, the verdict is being read. Donald J. Trump GUILTY on counts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 so far.
“You gave this matter the attention that it deserved and I thank you for that," Judge Merchan tells the Trump hush money jury which just convicted the former president on all 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree.
@w7voa Nice, but I don't care about his involvement with Stormy Daniels. I don't care about his misuse of money, or his lying about it. I care that he tried to overthrow the government when he lost by 8 million votes and wasn't appointed to the presidency, I guess because when 4 years prior, he lost by 3 million votes, and was appointed anyway.
I want to see him charged with treason. That's the trial we need.
I didn't care about Clinton's or JFK's extramarital affairs, either.
@w7voa What happens if he doesn't run for President?
Will people not vote for Biden because of it?
For the first time in American history, a former president is a convicted felon. The 34 convictions in the hush money case are certain to be appealed by Donald Trump's legal team.
@w7voa thank you. I just spent 9 hours flying and I feared doom scrolling through posts to find the results.
"Today is a shameful day in American history. Democrats cheered as they convicted the leader of the opposing party on ridiculous charges, predicated on the testimony of a disbarred, convicted felon. This was a purely political exercise, not a legal one," reacts House Speaker Mike Johnson in a statement immediately after the Trump convictions.
@w7voa They'll need grounds. And given how crappy his lawyers are, the only way it'll be granted is if they get a Trump appointee for a judge.
@w7voa
There's actually quite a good chance that the dime store attorneys fail to file the appeal on time, or appeal to the wrong court, or just file at all when he doesn't pay them!
Oh, do off-off, Johnson. You time in the dock may come from your Jan. 6 involvement. Just remember that.
@w7voa Sorry, sir. You have obviously been brainwashed or are incredibly stupid. The ex pres. was not a great leader, is not a great businessman, has cheated and lied throughout his life but is good at fooling some people into being blind about his many, many faults.
@w7voa - I didn’t spot the quotation marks until I had clicked on ‘publish’. If you are quoting someone else whose words you do not believe, please forgive me. On the other hand, if they are your words or you agree with them, then I meant every word!
@w7voa Why be Johnson’s stenographer? We all could have predicted his response. It’s not news that he continues to be a lackey.
And with these comments Mike Johnson shows again that he has no respect for the separation of powers.
Completely ignoring that he vowed to support the constitution.
Mike Johnson just repeats what his Kremlin handlers want him to say.

@w7voa Given that Speaker Johnson is an Insurrectionist and traitor, he can kindly “go fuck himself”
@w7voa 🥳 👏 👏
