@dansup @pixelfed Interesting addition!! Great initiative.
I’m wondering why the 10 children limit 😆
I know it’s a pretty high limit by today’s standards, but I’m thinking this feature could have a good use in education, for instance for a classroom project where each kid has a account to post photography or art, and the teacher is in control.
There is also the use case of adding more than one parent to manage the kid’s account. I’m guessing one parent should be able to add another.
Question: did you happen to read the recent Rolling Stone profile of Nikki Badolato, a former FBI agent who worked to catch child sex traffickers? It goes into how the online component of that sort of thing goes. It may be relevant to this issue.

@daj @dansup @NGIZero We've been testing with a small test group and implementing their feedback, keep in mind this is for children aged 13 or 16 and up for now.
In order to allow children younger than 13 (USA) or 16 (EU) we need to implement more fine grained controls which is beyond the scope of this milestone but is a high priority!
@pixelfed @daj @dansup @NGIZero Amazing! I am posting my son's art (age 6) via my 'own' account but hope to hand it over to him when he's an appropriate age. This is exactly the sort of innovation that gets me buzzing about the fediverse (https://gram.social/i/web/profile/614541892864614374) @arthen
